MoMA

My lovely wife and I went to New York in February. It was cold, it was snowing, and we had a great time. The main thing we did besides see our kids play at Carnegie Hall was going to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

It was the first time I have been and it was not exactly what I expected, but it was a good time. I think the biggest shocker was how small some of the artwork is in real life. Like Dali and van Gogh.

I enjoyed the MoMA. A lot of different types of art. A lot of inspirational materials. Insite into how the painting is different in person than it is depicted in photos. They touch up the photos of the artwork. Never would have known if I had not seen the pieces in person.

Every art gallery or museum I go to there is always a single piece that you find the most moving. The one that touches you or make you more curious. The one that challenges you, but makes you feel better at the same time.

Will be updating the post with the details of each piece.

MoMA is an amazing collection of artwork, and it should be visited if possible. It shares people’s passion and their unique vision. So many visions drown out by the noise of our world today. It is good to be able to see what those before us created. It should inspire and engage you in thought.
